As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality assurance processes and automation of the company’s products. Your expertise in designing, developing, and executing automated testing frameworks will be key in improving software quality across complex applications.

Qualification and Skills

 

 

  • Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages, particularly JavaScript, with additional experience in Java and Python considered a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks, especially Cypress, along with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit as additional assets.
  • Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and web services using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or other similar API testing platforms.
  • Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL) and experience in writing SQL queries for data validation and verification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying, troubleshooting, and debugging issues in automated test scripts and applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of effective teamwork.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Design, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks, scripts, and tools to support continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish testing strategies, pinpoint automation opportunities, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Create and execute automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Analyze test outcomes, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on test automation best practices, coding standards, and methodologies.
  • Continuously assess and enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
