As the VP of Software Engineering you will lead the engineering team in developing and deploying high-quality software products and the evolution of companys’ suite of data, products, and services that meet business requirements and customer expectations.
Working cross-functionally, the VP of Engineering will partner with other senior leaders in engineering, product management, customer success, marketing, research, and other corporate functions to drive a clear and effective product roadmap, supported by a profitable and scalable business-to-business model.
While this role is designed as a remote position, we expect the candidate to be conveniently located within a commutable distance to Krakow office to facilitate in person meetings when necessary.

Experience and knowledge
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a relevant field. Experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software products.
- Experience managing and scaling agile engineering teams and collaboration tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
- Due to the nature of startup environments, the candidate must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to adapt quickly and eagerness to use a hands-on approach to support troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Deep knowledge and experience with technologies around software architecture, cloud systems, mobile applications, embedded systems, including Python, and Kubernetes.
- Experience contributing to platforms/applications that are SOC 2 or HIPAA compliant.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team with ‘roll up your sleeves’ engineering willingness and capability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Have experience working in the health & wellness and or regulated medical device development space with an US or international company with US customers.
- Grasp of healthcare data intricacies.
- Experience with post-launch product support with emphasis on reliability design, testing, and tracking.
- Excellent project planning and management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
